Republican senator Ted Cruz of Texas said Thursday that Barack Obama is “high on his own power” with regard to the president’s announced efforts on gun control. Speaking on Laura Ingraham’s radio talk show, Cruz, who was just elected to the Senate last November, said “this is a president who has drunk the Kool-Aid.”
On Friday, President Obama signed a sweeping Executive Order that would effectively nationalize everything - including food, water and U.S. citizens - in order to prepare for national defense. Worse yet, would the order would also allow for a civilian draft - the conscription of “persons of outstanding experience or ability” without compensation?

So loud was your voice that even the president of the United States sided with you in opposing it. But don’t take a deep sigh of relief because, after all, we’re talking about a merger of Washington, D.C., and Hollywood here, as well as global interests.

Corporate supporters of HR3261 (SOPA) and S968 (PIPA) demand the ability to take down any web site that affects their profits—without due process or judicial oversight—in the name of combating “online piracy.” Hoping you won’t notice or care, quite a few of our Public Servants want to give them that right.
