I have been the writer for Civil Dispatch for a little over a year now and it has turned me into an inexperienced yet capable prepper to say the least. The information and tools that I have learned over the past year have put me in a position to be the ultimate prepper if I chose to.
I have learned how to prep for just about any survival situation including but not limited to: hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, blizzards, fires, EMP strikes, tsunamis, UFOs, pandemics, and the inevitable TEOTWAWKI or doomsday event.
I have written about some CRAZY things over the past year and I wanted my last blog writing for Civil Dispatch to irreverently recap all of the absurd, ridiculous, and even skeptical things that I have learned while writing for Civil every week for the past year.
Here goes nothing…
- How REAL is Disease X?
I’m not a scientist or a doctor, but if they say Disease X is real then it must be real, right? Just like they say, if you read it on the internet then it must be true! Disease X is supposedly a respiratory disease that could be coming in the somewhat near-ish future? The nature of it is unknown, which makes prepping for this “pandemic” challenging and if Bill Nye can’t solve it then who can? Start quarantining yourselves now, folks.
- Flying Saucers: How The UFO Myth Took Its Shape
For decades there has been a craze surrounding UFOs. Between Area 51 and the dozens of movies that have been released about alien invasion, society’s obsession has not waned! People legitimately believe there are aliens on this planet and it is truly mind blowing, but also terrifying. Is my best friend actually an alien? Will I be abducted against my will one night by a flying saucer? Who knows.
- The Doomsday Clock Gets Closer To Midnight: Exploring What Makes The Clock Tick
When people hear “doomsday clock,” a sense of fear probably rushes through their body along with the question of what exactly happens when it gets to midnight? The clock symbolizes nothing other than global threats...simple as that (hence the sarcasm). The clock isn’t completely accurate, but brings awareness to what is going on in the world around us. Even the slightest threat of a nuclear missile (cough, cough, Hawaii), could send that second hand into a frenzy.
- The Solar Eclipse
On Monday, August 21st, 2018, the United States witnessed its first solar eclipse since 1918. This was a monumental moment since most of us might not be alive to see the next major eclipse over North America. We were told not to look directly into the sun. Do you think everyone followed that rule? Absolutely not. Word of advice: If scientists say, “Don’t look directly at the sun,” then DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN!!
Well that is all I have for you and I’m sad that this is my last time informing you on the weird and wild going on in our world, but I am leaving with the information to survive just about anything and I hope that you are too!
As always, If you haven’t already, sign up for text messages from Civil Dispatch to get up to date information on threats in your area! Over and out, preppers!
